Directions

Step 1
Place all syrup ingredients in a medium saucepan. Cook over medium heat until sauce thickens, about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Spread cream cheese evenly on each slice of bread. Place strawberries on top of four slices and top with remaining bread.

Spray a 12-inch skillet with cooking spray and heat over medium-low heat. Whisk together egg and milk in shallow dish.

Step 4
Dip sandwiches into the egg mixture a few seconds on each side. Place sandwiches in the skillet and cook 1 to 2 minutes on each side, until golden brown. Serve with strawberry chia syrup.
