Apple cider vinegar 2 tbsp
Sesame seeds, toasted 1 tbsp
Fresh lime juice 1 tbsp
Sesame oil, toasted 1 tbsp
Honey 2 tsp
Carrots, sliced into matchsticks 1 cup
Bahn Mi Sandwich
Bolillo roll 1
Gulden's® Spicy Brown Mustard64144 871402 tbsp
Mortadella, thinly sliced 4 oz
Kimchi 1/4 cup
Cucumber, sliced into half moons 1/4 cup
Carrot Slaw (see recipe above) 1/4 cup
Fresh jalapeno pepper slices 5
Fresh cilantro leaves 8


  1. To make CARROT SLAW: Combine spicy brown mustard, vinegar, sesame seeds, lime juice, sesame oil and honey in a small bowl; whisk to combine.
  2. Add carrots and toss to coat; refrigerate until service.
  3. To make BAHN MI SANDWICH: Preheat oven to 350°F.
  4. Split bolillo roll in half lengthwise, but not all the way through, so top is hinged; bake for 2 to 3 minutes or until toasted.
  5. Remove from oven; spread cut sides of roll with spicy brown mustard.
  6. Layer mortadella, kimchi, cucumber, Carrot Slaw, jalapeños and cilantro in roll.
